The Epstein files discharge petition is now just two signatures away from forcing a House vote, after Reps. Dan Goldman (D-NY) and Eric Swalwell (D-CA) added their names. Swalwell, who had been out of Washington following the death of his mother, signed on Monday, bringing the total to 216 of the 218 signatures required.
All 212 Democrats in the House have now signed the petition. Only four Republicans have joined, the same handful that backed the effort early: Thomas Massie, Lauren Boebert, Nancy Mace, and Marjorie Taylor Greene. That means Massie only needs two more Republicans to sign his petition in order to force a vote to release the Epstein files.
