State troopers responded to a call of a damaged vehicle around 4:10 a.m. on the inbound lanes of the Edens at Lake Avenue and found four to five vehicles with flat tires due to a pothole, Illinois state police said.
Two lanes were shut down to work on fixing the pothole and have not reopened as of 7:45 a.m., state police said.
Travel times on the inbound Edens are well over an hour and as high as nearly two hours, according to Travel Midwest .
