A man has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting in Wolverhampton.

Emergency services were called in the early hours of August 26 after a man suffered gunshot wounds during an incident in Phoenix Park.

Kieran Thomas, 27, who has also been charged with possession of a firearm with intent, was due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on Tuesday morning (September 9).

Police said a teenager who was also arrested in connection with the incident has been bailed pending further enquiries.
