SALT LAKE CITY — President Russell M. Nelson, of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has marked his 101st birthday with a personal message of gratitude and spiritual guidance.

In a social media post, President Nelson said he felt "truly humbled" to celebrate the milestone with his family. He reflected on the deep affection he feels for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, saying he still feels the same tenderness he did when they were small.

He emphasized that the lessons he has shared with his family are the same ones he has taught to the worldwide membership of the church. President Nelson restated core beliefs of the faith, including the belief that God is our Father, that Jesus Christ is His son, and that salvation is possible through Christ's Atonement.
