WEST LAFAYETTE — Coach Barry Odom and offensive coordinator Josh Henson continue to emphasize that for Purdue football to be successful, it must have a rushing attack.

When the Boilermakers defeated Southern Illinois on Saturday, they did it pounding with the ground game , rushing 53 times for 215 yards.

Devin Mockobee carried a career-high 32 times for 126 yards, becoming the first Boiler back with at least 125 yards and two rushing touchdowns since Zander Horvath in 2019.
