The death penalty is now on the table as a potential punishment for the man caught on a home surveillance video allegedly shooting and killing his sister inside a home in southwest Miami-Dade earlier this year, according to court records.

Prosecutors announced Tuesday that 58-year-old Pedro Pablo Linares has been indicted on charges of first-degree murder and armed burglary in the April 5 killing of his sister, 60-year-old Beatriz Linares-Calamita. Miami-Dade Corrections

Home surveillance video from the residence in the 300 block of Southwest 79th Avenue in the Fontainebleau neighborhood captured a masked and gloved gunman entering the home and shooting Linares-Calamita multiple times before slamming the door and walking away.

Investigators later identified the shooter as Linares.
