CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A teenager was killed after a double shooting near NoDa in northeast Charlotte early Sunday morning, according to police .

The victim was identified as 18-year-old Jan Figueroa on Tuesday, Sept. 9. A second person, who has not been identified, was also shot and rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

As of this writing, no arrests have been made.

What we know

The shooting reportedly happened around 2:45 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 7, along Atando Avenue near North Tryon Street.

Officers said they responded to the scene for reports of gunshots. When they arrived, they found Figueroa and another person had been shot.

Paramedics pronounced Figueroa dead at the scene of the shooting, and the other person was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries
