TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- With no new tropical development expected in the coming days, the tropics are eerily quiet.
Tomorrow - September 10 - is known as the climatological peak of hurricane season, with most activity occurring between mid-August and mid-October.
Despite this, the National Hurricane Center map is completely blank, with the message "Tropical cyclone activity is not expected during the next seven days."
