Lawrence General Hospital and Holy Family Hospital, formerly independent hospitals that merged throughout the Steward bankruptcy and acquisitions, have renamed their joint system Merrimack Health.

Lawrence General acquired the two Steward Health Care-owned Holy Family campuses in October , which added some 300 beds to the Merrimack Valley hospital’s capacity. Lawrence General at the time said it was launching a new “regional health care system.”
