Less than two weeks after being cut by the Patriots, veteran safety Jabrill Peppers has found a new home in the AFC.
According to Ian Rapoport and Mike Garofolo of NFL Media , Peppers has agreed to terms on a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Peppers, who spent three seasons with the Patriots, will make his Foxborough return on Sept. 21 at 1 p.m. when New England hosts Pittsburgh at Gillette Stadium.
Last season was a tumultuous one for Peppers, who played in just six games. He spent time on the commissioner’s exempt list before being acquitted by a Boston jury in an assault and battery trial.
He missed several games with a hamstring injury. He finished the season with 40 tackles, an interception, a forced fumble, and a pair of tackles for loss.
