WASHINGTON — The "Old Timer" is back, while plans for Cracker Barrel remodels have been scrapped.
The company is backtracking on its restaurant rebrand after customer backlash over a new logo and modernized store remodels.
In a new statement, the Tennessee-based chain said it is suspending its restaurant remodels after testing the design in only four of its 660 locations. It also confirmed it will get rid of its new text-based logo, bringing back the company’s longtime “Old Timer” imagery that has appeared on signs since the 1970s.
"You've shared your voices in recent weeks not just on our logo, but also on our restaurants. We're continuing to listen," the company said.
