Miss New York Cassie Donegan was crowned Miss America last night at the pageant in Orlando. Donegan called the victory a dream come true, having gotten involved in the Miss America Little Sisters program when she was 9 years-old.
She was also a teen delegate at the age of 14.
Donegan was one of 3 winners in the talent preliminary, singing "Darker Shade of Blue" from the musical "Some Like It Hot."
She was crowned Miss New York on July 12th representing the five boroughs.
Donegan, who is originally from Virginia, is the COO of Southern Sitter, a childcare booking company. She is also a professional performer and Actors Equity member.
