Utah’s largest transit agency says riders, drivers and pedestrians should be prepared for delays beginning this week as it carries out a few more maintenance projects over the next two months, including improvements to its original line.
Sandy rail project
Utah Transit Authority crews will begin work to repair the crossing at 9000 South in Sandy on Wednesday, which is expected to create lengthy service delays for the TRAX Blue Line and some road delays in the area. UTA will run a bus bridge between its Midvale Center and Sandy Civic Center stations to help riders bypass the construction, which will be in place through the end of the project on Sept. 17.
Riders needing to travel past the blocked route should be prepared for delays up to 30 minutes throughout the week, officials said.
