TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Rickards High and Fairview Middle School have reopened following a “Closed Campus” procedure Tuesday, according to the Leon County Schools.
The “Closed Campus” protocol was initiated around 11:30 a.m. due to police activity nearby, an LCS spokesperson told WCTV in a phone call around just after noon.

The procedure, formerly referred to as a “Lock Out,” means “no one is allowed on campus, movement is restricted and security measures are heightened,” according to the school district.
