MADISON, Wis. — Dr. Jennifer Berne started as Madison Area Technical College’s ninth president in July. News 3 Now’s Arman Rahman sat down with her for an exclusive one-on-one interview at the Truax Campus’s new Construction and Remodeling building to talk about how she’s constructing her time in the position from the ground up.

“Well that’s very well said,” Dr. Berne said Monday. “It is sort of a good symbol of that. We take as raw as people want to come to us and we are so happy to have them.”

And Dr. Berne doesn't seem afraid to get up close to the raw work her students are doing.
