An Allentown man previously convicted of killing his infant daughter in 2013 soon will be released from prison after prosecutors re-examined initial expert testimony in the case, authorities announced this week.
Matthew Wolfe, 40, in December 2015 was arrested and charged with third-degree murder and child endangerment in the death of his three-month-old daughter, Quinn.
The death for two years was investigated by the county grand jury. Wolfe in 2017 was convicted on the charges following a jury trial and sentenced to serve 20 to 40 years in prison.
Wolfe currently has been incarcerated for nine years when his case never should have gone to trial, his Pittsburgh-based defense attorney, Craig Cooley, told lehighvalleylive.com Tuesday morning.
