There is normally enough on the line — notably, bragging rights — when crosstown rivals Northridge and Greeley West meet on the football field.

But with both teams coming off of hard-fought victories this past week, when the Grizzlies and the Spartans clash this Friday, there will be a little extra meaning.

The team that emerges victorious will build upon their recent momentum and climb above .500 for the first time in years.

Northridge hasn’t had a winning record since the 2023 season, in which it won its first five games.

Greeley West’s last winning record was in the first week of the 2022 season, as the Spartans won their opener against Mountain Range before dropping their next five games.
