BIG SKY — A Bozeman-based non-profit that supports active-duty special forces members is planning to transform an 85-acre parcel in Big Sky into a supportive ranch, designed around outdoor experiences and preparation for life beyond the military.
Big Sky Bravery recently completed the $5 million purchase and on Monday held a ribbon cutting and groundbreaking ceremony as construction begins on what will become its new base camp.
"We’re not only trying to have something we can call our home, but establish a generational impact for the Special Operations community,” Josh McCain, CEO of Big Sky Bravery, said. “We’ve had a lot of incredible supporters, but this is not our ranch, this is the Special Forces Community Ranch.”
