The Detroit Lions were thin at offensive tackle heading into their loss to the Green Bay Packers in the season opener on Sept. 7.

So, they made a move Tuesday, Sept. 9, to buttress the position by signing Devin Cochran, according to a league source.

The 6-foot-7, 330-pound Cochran spent the previous three seasons with Cincinnati after signing with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2022. But he didn’t appear in an NFL regular-season game until last November, when he was elevated to the active roster for the first time. He then played 152 offensive snaps the rest of the year, surrendering eight pressures and one sack.
