A school custodian from Allegheny County was arrested on Monday after police said he owned thousands of videos and images of child pornography.
Michael Siar, 55, who worked at the Baldwin-Whitehall School District, is charged with 22 counts of possession of child pornography and three counts of criminal use of communication facility.
According to WPXI, the police investigation began on April 23 after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received multiple tips Siar might own child sex abuse material.
Police then executed a search warrant at Siar’s home in May and seized several electronic devices.
Authorities said that over a four-month period they found thousands of photos and videos on his devices that had photos or videos of young children “engaged in various sexual
