NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A group of students from Father Ryan High School left a piece of Nashville with the Pope Leo in Rome
A dozen Father Ryan students were on their pilgrimage to the Vatican when a once-in-a-lifetime experience happened.
The group woke up early one morning to see the Pope take a ride in the Popemobile in St. Peter's Square.
Father Ryan sophomore Gavin Thornburg told News 2 one of his teachers encouraged him to give his Father Ryan hat to the Pope, so he thought why not?
