Less that two weeks after Red Sox No. 1 pitching prospect Payton Tolle made his electrifying MLB debut , Boston on Tuesday reportedly called up the organization's top pitching prospect still remaining at Triple-A Worcester.

But while Tolle needed only to drive less than an hour from Worcester, Mass., to Fenway Park, 23-year-old former Virginia lefty Connelly Early — the Red Sox's No. 6 overall prospect — must take a flight nearly 3,000 miles for the biggest moment of his young career.

According to a report by the "Foul Territory" podcast Tuesday morning, the Red Sox called up Early to start the same day against the Athletics in West Sacramento, Calif.
