(WXIN/WTTV): An Indiana man has been sentenced to four years in federal prison after pleading guilty to sending "threatening communications" to the United States Supreme Court clerk, including a threat to bomb the Supreme Court building.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Indiana, 39-year-old Roger King received his sentence on Monday after pleading guilty to two counts of mailing threatening communications. Once he completes his four-year sentence, he must also serve two years of supervised release.
The release confirmed this new sentence will run consecutive to the sentence King was already serving at the New Castle Correctional Facility.
Court documents reveal that on Nov. 9, 2021, King sent a letter to the United States Supreme Court Clerk
