Firefighters remain at scene as a gorse blaze ravages a Scots beauty spot. ‌

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a fire at Braefoot Point in Dalgety Bay, Fife , on September 9 at 11am. ‌

A number of fire engines rushed to the scene where the remain in attendance as of 6.30pm on Tuesday evening. ‌

The inferno started in the gorse and spread across the grass next to the Firth of the Forth.

Images from the scene show giant flames across the bay while thick plumes of smoke flow into the area. ‌

The cause of the fire has not yet been established.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 11.10am on Tuesday, September 9, to reports of a fire in the open near to Braefoot Point in Dalgety Bay, Fife.
