Manchester City fans have cause for concern after Omar Marmoush was substituted in pain while playing for Egypt.

The forward was taken down while playing against Burkina Faso in World Cup Qualifying and instantly clutched his knee.

Receiving a ball from captain Mohamed Salah just inside his own half, Marmoush tried to jink into the middle of the pitch to find space and launch an attack.

However, just as he got his foot on the ball for a second touch, in came Mohamed Zougrana to send him crashing to the ground.

Salah went straight over to his Premier League rival who kept holding his knee writhing in pain.

The tackle occurred in the fourth minute of the match, but it took until the ninth for Marmoush to finally leave the pitch, perhaps showing just how much pain he was in.
