KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — 'Leanne,' the Knoxville-based Netflix show starring comedian Leanne Morgan, is returning for a second season.

Nearly a year and a half after it was first reported that Morgan had landed her own sitcom, she posted on her social media Monday announcing that the series had been renewed. Morgan thanked all the viewers who watched season one of the series, saying "Y'all did this for me, so thank y'all."

The first season dropped on Netflix earlier this year, and follows along the comedian's life as “husband leaves her for another woman” and she starts over as a grandmother. The show is based in Knoxville and works in some humorous mentions of places and things that only Knoxvillians and those from the surrounding area can truly appreciate.
