The beloved sitcom “Malcolm in the Middle” is getting a reboot, but one of the original stars isn’t returning.
Erik Per Sullivan , who played the quirky Dewey, is sitting this one out. Sullivan, now 34, hasn’t acted since his appearance in the 2010 film “Twelve.” He was 18 at the time.
Bryan Cranston , who will reprise his role as patriarch Hal in the reboot, gave an update on Sullivan during a June interview with Deadline .
“He’s actually going to Harvard. He’s really, really smart, and he’s getting his master’s at Harvard right now,” Cranston shared.
