The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) says it has "substantially completed" its decade-long revamp of Terminal 1's arrivals and departures areas at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP).

The $600 million Operational Improvements Program has turned the pre-security ticketing lobby and other spaces from "1960s-era design and infrastructure," as MAC puts it, to a more modern and spacious hall with advanced ticketing processes.

In total, it's the culmination of 20 separate projects that have expanded Terminal 1 by 17,000 square feet, consolidated security screening, modernized ticketing counters, added larger baggage carousels, increased restroom capacity, and updated design elements.
