Former President Joe Biden’s office announced on Sept. 6 that his presidential library will be built in Delaware.

Before the news, several locations were contenders for where the library commemorating his single-term presidency could be housed. Early in 2024, a public transcript showed him considering the University of Delaware, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in 1965, wife Jill Biden earned two degrees and the Joseph R. Biden Jr. School of Public Policy and Administration is already located.
