Jews, Muslims and other faith leaders are gathering at a historic local synagogue on the anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks – and amid a long, deadly war between Israel and Hamas – to discuss how to fight extremism together.
The Sinai Temple, located on Wilshire Boulevard in L.A.'s Westwood neighborhood, says the coming together of different faiths is one of several events being held throughout the week in partnership with Sharaka, an organization focused on building bridges between Arabs and Israelis, Sinai Temple officials said in a media release.
“These events will offer Jews and Muslims an opportunity to engage in thoughtful dialogue about the ongoing fight against extremism and how to create a peaceful Middle East,” the media release states.
