LOS ANGELES -- A death investigation is underway after a decomposing body was found in the trunk of a vehicle registered to singer/songwriter David Anthony Burke, better known as D4vd.

Police were called to a Hollywood tow yard Monday after receiving reports of a foul odor coming from a car, according to TMZ. The body was found wrapped in a plastic bag in the vehicle’s trunk.

Police have not publicly identified the person found in the car, but did say the body had been chopped up and was heavily decomposed.

D4vd is scheduled to play a concert in Minneapolis Tuesday night as part of his current tour. However, it is unclear if he will still perform. The 20-year-old singer has amassed billions of streams of his songs, including the hits “Here With Me” and “Romantic Homicide.”
