Ector County Commissioners postponed a vote on the budget and tax rate as well as tabled a look at raising the homestead exemption for senior citizens and the disabled during their meeting Tuesday.

The issuance of certificates of obligation for a new county courthouse and youth detention center overhaul has commissioners proposing an increase in property taxes, which will net the county $29,210,241 more than last year.
