Suspect Demetrius Walls Accused of Armed Threat Outside Citgo Store

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — A 39-year-old Winter Haven man, Demetrius Antonio Walls, was arrested and booked into the Polk County Jail on Tuesday, following an alleged armed disturbance that occurred late Monday morning.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Walls is accused of participating in a confrontation at a Citgo store located on Dundee Road. The incident reportedly stemmed from a dispute over a shared romantic interest.

The victim, who has known Walls for several years, was leaving the store when Walls allegedly pulled up, pointed a handgun at him, and threatened to kill him. The victim quickly retreated into the store, where he called 911, and Walls subsequently fled the scene.
