TYLER, Texas — Smith County Animal Shelter Director Amber Greene was terminated from her position Tuesday after an investigation found she made derogatory comments and allowed her employees "to use racial slurs."
In her termination of employment letter obtained by CBS19, it reveals that Greene was terminated effective Sept. 9. The investigation found that her behavior directly violated Smith County's anti-discrimination and harassment policies along with the ethical responsibilities entrusted to her as a leader.
