The Loveland Public Library is celebrating 120 years in the community with a limited edition library card and a silent disco at the end of the month.

The special card, which was designed to look like an old-school library book due date card, features important dates from the library’s history, including multiple from 1905, which marks the year the library was funded by the Loveland Town Board, according to the library’s website. The silent disco will celebrate the anniversary on Sept. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the library, located at 300 N. Adams Ave.

The card is a good way to celebrate the library’s anniversary because September is also Library Card Signup Month across the country, said the library’s Youth Services Division Manager Johanna Tuttle Smith.
