EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - UTEP Women's Volleyball head coach Ben Wallis joined KTSM 9 News on Tuesday, Sept. 9, to celebrate a successful start to the season and invite the community to support the players in the upcoming home tournament.

With the new season in full swing, coach Wallis said the team is feeling strong and ready to tackle any challenges.

"We're really talented. We're also very veteran. We're deeply athletic. We got a lot of good young people that have joined our program from a group that returned. We returned 13 players from last year. So incredible. And we brought in five new players," he explained.

The team has just returned from the Southwest Showdown tournament in Edinburg, Texas, where they remained undefeated.
