The Clark County Council on Monday appointed District Court Commissioner Leslie Lopez to replace District Court Judge Sonya Langsdorf, who is retiring Sept. 30.

The council will also conduct a second interview with District Court Commissioner Erin Priest and defense attorney Megan Peyton, who are vying to replace District Court Judge Kelli E. Osler when she retires Dec. 31.

“The candidates are all outstanding that you’ve made it very difficult for us,” Council Chair Sue Marshall said.

Lopez, 59, of Ridgefield has served as a District Court commissioner since 2024.
