The National Book Foundation confirmed the 10 nominees for the 2025 National Book Award for Young People’s Literature

The Longlist for the 2025 National Book Award for Young People’s Literature has been announced.

The National Book Foundation confirmed the list’s 10 nominees in a press release shared with PEOPLE on Tuesday, Sept. 9. The announcement revealed that five finalists will be revealed on Tuesday, Oct. 7, with winners announced live at the 76th National Book Awards Ceremony & Benefit Dinner on Wednesday, Nov. 19.

This year’s award nominees include four past nominees, including Derrick Barnes
