CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Federal, state and city officials have entered an agreement in response to Cincinnati’s summer trends in violent crime.
Following an uptick in violence in several neighborhoods and the July downtown brawl that made national headlines, leaders from every level of government came together to combat Cincinnati’s ongoing issue.
On Tuesday, Gov. Mike DeWine announced the city has entered into partnerships with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, U.S. Marshals of the Southern District of Ohio and the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Southern District of Ohio.
The goal of these partnerships is to not only provide the Cincinnati Police Department with manpower and technology, but to reduce violent crime and get repeat offenders
