The United States Coast Guard has gone viral again following the resurfacing of a video from 2019 showing officers jumping onto the back of a moving submarine during an operation in the Eastern Pacific.
The clip, which is back on social media a week after the U.S. Military took out a Venezuelan drug vessel and killed 11 people, shows service members leaping onto a narco sub said to have been carrying 17,000 pounds of cocaine.
The operation was months in the making and proved fruitful, with the drugs retrieved bearing an estimated street value of $232 million. The operation, which cast a wide net, reportedly yielded $569 million worth of cocaine in its totality.
