Mayo Clinic will close six medical clinics in southeastern Minnesota before the end of the year as it consolidates patient care throughout the region.

Clinics in Belle Plaine, Caledonia, Montgomery, Northridge (North Mankato), St. Peter and Wells will shutter by Dec. 10 and services will transition to nearby locations, the Rochester-based Mayo Clinic Health System (MCHS) announced Monday.

"These changes are part of a broader effort to strengthen care delivery across our communities," Mayo's website states, noting that patients will learn which clinic their provider is moving to in the coming weeks.
