LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Twenty shipping containers have fallen off a cargo ship and into the water at the Port of Long Beach in southern California.
Details are limited, but ABC Los Angeles affiliate KABC's helicopter was above the scene Tuesday morning, and captured the containers scattered across the water.
According to Port of Long Beach officials, no injuries or pollution has been reported.
The containers fell about 9 a.m. local time.
The U.S. Coast Guard said 20 containers fell into the water and 50 collapsed on the vessel.
Cargo operations have been temporarily suspended at the terminal as responders work to secure the containers.
