CANARSIE — POLICE HAVE CHARGED Josny Jean, a 31 year-old man, with murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the stabbing death of his neighbor, 70-year-old Fredrick Howard, inside his 1323 E. 87th St. home in Canarsie early Monday morning. Police said Howard was stabbed multiple times in his chest at roughly 1:10 a.m. Monday. He managed to get to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center by private means, where he was later pronounced deceased. After an investigation, police arrested Jean at 11 p.m. Monday.

Jean resides at the same two-story multifamily address as the victim, according to police.
