PHILADELPHIA − Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter is facing a hefty fine for spitting on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
But he will not face a suspension. ESPN, quoting Carter's agent Drew Rosenhaus is reporting that the NFL is fining Carter $57,222 for his actions in the Sept. 4 game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Rosenhaus also said there will be no suspension because Carter was ejected for spitting before the first defensive snap of the game, in essense serving a one-game suspension.
The NFL released a statement confirming Rosenhaus' explanation, adding that the amount of the fine was the equivalent of Carter's game check, which he is thus forfeiting.
