Atlanta Hawks star guard Trae Young will soon head into his eighth season in the league. However, while that is the case, his future with the team appears uncertain.

Young is eligible for a four-year, $229 million contract extension; however, the Hawks have yet to tender such an offer to him. With the season a little over a month away, it appears that the Hawks will do no such thing.
Because of that, ESPN NBA insider Tim MacMahon provided a murky update on Young's future with the team. MacMahon says Young's future in Atlanta is certainly in question.
"The long-term outlook for Trae Young in Atlanta is murky at the minimum at this point. This is a guy who has been the face of the Atlanta Hawks for seven years,"
