LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. ( WAFF ) - Former Senior Trooper Paul Richey is facing charges of solicitation of prostitution and computer tampering, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said on Tuesday.

Authorities said Richey turned himself in at the Limestone County Jail on Tuesday.

The charges stem from an ongoing investigation led by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigation.

Richey resigned from his position with ALEA on Monday.
