Brandon Prust is back behind the bench.

But a lot about the London Nationals, who open their Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League season Wednesday in LaSalle, has changed.

The club’s colour scheme is no longer Maple Leafs blue-and-white. The train logo is a throwback to the old days on the tracks and a nod to co-owners Dean and Brenda Pomerleau’s aim to put their own stamp on the brand.

“It does feel like a whole new organization,” said Prust, the former London Knights star and ex-NHLer.

“New players, new staff, new ownership, new dressing room. There are still some familiar faces, which is great, but definitely lots of changes.

“Everybody’s pretty excited.”
