OMAK — Omak City Council met for a regular meeting Monday, Aug. 18, where an agreement with the USDA Forest Service for park use was approved.

Public Works Director Wayne Beetchenow explained that the council agreement with the Forest Service is similar to the one that the city has with the state Department of Natural Resources, and that the five-year agreement would facilitate the rental and would be used as an incident command base camp for emergency incidents.

Ordinance 1954, a first read to approve a budget amendment for an airport interfund loan was explained by City Administrator Todd McDaniel. He told the council that the Airport North Taxiway and Runway Projects are finishing and that the airport fund requires an interfund loan for cash flow, according to council draft minutes.
