ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KWQC) - A 17-year-old biker was injured after being hit by a car on Sept. 5.
Officers with the Rock Island Police Department went to the area of 12th Street and 32nd Avenue for an unresponsive 17-year-old boy, who was found bleeding on the side of the road next to a bike around 7:30 a.m., police said.
The boy was treated on scene, taken to a local hospital and later flown to Peoria for further treatment, officials said. Police said he is “stable.”
Investigators learned the boy was riding his bike to school when he was hit by a car that left the area. Officers later found the car and identified the driver, also as a 17-year-old boy.

Leaving the scene of an accident/injury without reporting
Driving without a valid license
