A Saugerties man who pleaded guilty to vehicular assault and other charges earlier this year after he allegedly injured another driver in a 2023 crash was sentenced Sept. 8 to one to three years in state prison.

Ulster County Court Judge Bryan Rounds pronounced the sentence for Alfredo Martinez, 47, of Saugerties.

Martinez pleaded guilty on May 12 to second-degree vehicular assault and leaving the scene of an incident that resulted in serious physical injury without reporting it, both felonies, and driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.
